Classic Margherita Pizza
A simple yet delicious traditional Italian pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.

Ingredients

- 250 gpizza dough (room temperature)
- 125 gfresh mozzarella (torn into pieces)
- 80 mltomato sauce
- 1 handfulfresh basil leaves
- 2 tbspextra-virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) or as high as it goes. If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.
Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge for the crust.

Distribute the torn mozzarella pieces evenly over the sauce.
Bake the pizza for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Remove from the oven and immediately scatter the fresh basil leaves over the top.

Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Slice and serve immediately.

For the best flavor, use high-quality ingredients, especially the tomato sauce and mozzarella. If you can find it, buffalo mozzarella makes this pizza extra special.
